Watershed Friends Workshop is pleased to announce their workshop schedule for this season.  We will be partnering again with Lake Stewards of Maine and 30 Mile Watershed Association to co-host both a Live Plant ID and Plant Paddle that will enable people to complete LSM's IPP certification.

NPIA Mission

Efforts are underway through community engagement, partnership, education and conservation efforts to preclude the introduction of Aquatic Invasive Species and limit the amount of nutrients entering the ponds.

Watershed Friends

AIS Prevention & Monitoring

Support regular surveys conducted by Watershed Friends and volunteers to detect and manage Aquatic Invasive Species before they threaten native ecosystems. Maine DEP supports this work and has other valuable resources.

Looking After Our Ponds for Generations

The Narrows Pond Improvement Association is dedicated to proactive conservation strategies, community education, and scientific monitoring to maintain the ecological integrity of our local waters for generations to come.

Water Quality Testing

Analysis of clarity, temperature, nutrient levels and lake levels helps us understand long-term trends and pond health. The Maine DEP and Lakes of Maine present data about current lake conditions.

Watershed Restoration

Provide information about buffer zones, natural filtration and other techniques to reduce runoff and maintain pristine water clarity.

Join neighbors, friends, and lake lovers working together to protect Upper Narrows and Lower Ponds for generations to come.  Contact us using the form below to get involved in our conservation efforts and stay updated on lake news.
